Method, assumptions & references

Standard formulas from the NRL Plasma Formulary (2023 edition). Thermal speeds are defined as √(kT/m). The Coulomb logarithm uses the NRL electron–ion expression and the electron collision rate is νe = 2.91×10⁻⁶ ne lnΛ Te−3/2 s⁻¹ (n in cm⁻³, T in eV). β = 2μ₀n k(Te+Ti)/B². Our implementation is unit-tested against tabulated NRL values.
